This badge was issued for participation in the Linas Kojala's open lecture "Unlock Lithuania: how it became a strong and independent country?", which was held on 9 May 2024 at Vilnius TECH University. Linas Kojala is a political scientist, commentator, lecturer, Director of the Center for East European Studies (CESS), Associate Fellow at the Negotiation Group of the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Harvard University (USA). The speaker provided the audience with an insight into Lithuania's past and present, our values and freedom struggles, the challenges Lithuania had to overcome when becoming a member of NATO and the European Union (EU) ( Lithuania celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2024), Lithuania's principled stance towards the war in Ukraine, which was caused by the aggressor country.
