Improvisation is more than performance – it’s a mindset of adaptability, creativity, and presence in the face of uncertainty. This badge recognizes participation in “IMPRO(ve) Yourself”, an 8-day Erasmus+ training course that brought together 24 youth workers from 8 countries to explore how improvisational theatre, experiential learning, and creativity development can enhance youth work.
By earning this badge, participants have:
• Practiced creative thinking and flexibility in dynamic situations;
• Strengthened communication, leadership, and facilitation skills;
• Learned to use improvisation as a method for empowering young people;
• Developed greater self-confidence and awareness in their professional roles.
The project is inspired by Guy Claxton’s theory of the 5 Creative Habits and combines improv theatre techniques, group dynamics, and digital tools to foster innovative, human-centered youth work.
